The study of the historical evolution of the concepts and technology of Automatic Control embedded within the broader History of Technology from ancient times until today.

Description / Outline: 
  1. The introduction of the student to the world of Technology and Automata, as well as to the conceptual and technical approach of the history of Automatic Control in connection to the theoretical and mathematical study of Automatic Control Systems.
  2. The in depth understanding of the concepts of System and Control and the implementation and development of the technical awareness of the student.
  3. The connection of science and technology of Automatic Control with the other sciences, social development and culture of man.
  4. The interrelation of the ancient philosophical and technical thought with the contemporary theory and technology of Automatic Control.
