Short CV:

Dimitrios Dimogianopoulos holds a Mechanical Engineering degree (University of Patras, Greece, 1995), a Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies (D.E.A) in systems and control (University of Technology of Compiègne-UTC, France, 1996), and a Ph. D. in adaptive control of linear time varying systems (supported by a French Ministry of Education and Research grant, UTC, 1999). He was a Temporary Research Associate at the CNRS-UMR-6599 Laboratory (Compiègne, France 2002-2003) and at the Stochastic Mechanical Systems and Automation SMSA laboratory (University of Patras, Greece, 2003 –2010). He has been teaching both elementary- and advanced-level courses on control systems, initially at the Technological Education Institute of Lamia (Greece, 2006-2010) and, currently (as an Assistant Professor) at the Technological Education Institute of Piraeus (Greece, 2010 to date). He is actively involved in collaborative research projects supported by EU and/or Greek funds and has (co-)authored over 40 communications in journals, conference proceedings and books in topics involving non-linear/adaptive controller design, system identification, contact-free sensor design, and stochastic fault detection & isolation for mechanical, aerospace and food engineering applications.
